Melissa Thiebaut Marinelli
Melissa has been working in the field of early childhood education for 35 years. She has held various positions at Head Start, GSRP, private programs, and was the owner of a high-quality early learning center. She has been a college instructor for 20 years. Melissa is the 2024-2026 MiAEYC secretary. Melissa works weekly in early childhood classrooms as an early childhood specialist. Melissa regularly collaborates with school districts, intermediate school districts, Head Start agencies, and other community programs focused on the well-being of young children and their families. Melissa holds a master's degree in early childhood education from Concordia University and is working on her dissertation for her doctorate degree in early childhood education from Walden University. Melissa presents locally, state-wide, and nationally. Melissa works with CDA candidates to attain their professional education hours, along with college credit. Melissa has traveled twice to Italy to learn about the Reggio way, and plans to continue her learning in Italy and other countries in the future.
